The Door of Grace

Think about the last time you came to God with something heavy. Now be honest about what you brought with you. I do not mean the sin. I mean the other things. The years of church. The giving. The clean record. Or even, the fact that you are, by any reasonable standard, a decent person. There is a man in the Bible who brought all of that to the door of grace. He brought it in wagons. And what we find, is that the door did not open for him.
