A Hole, Not a Funeral

If there is anything that American's are good at, it is Hoarding. Take for example the following statistic: Americans rent two billion square feet of storage space. Think about that. Two billion square feet of units full of things we do not use, cannot fit, and will not release. We pay rent, every single month, on things we should have thrown away years ago.
And I wonder if that's not the most accurate picture of the Christian life. Because most of us don't get rid of our idols. We store them. We put them somewhere out of sight, we tell ourselves it's handled, yet we keep a key. This morning, watch what a man does when he finally gets serious. He doesn't rent a unit. He digs a hole.
